Mr. Aekkasit Diewwanit is CEO and co-founder of Dreamaker, a crowdfunding platform in Thailand. Previously, he was at the Securities and Exchange Commission and the Fiscal Policy Research Institute under the Ministry of Finance. He also worked for the President of the Thailand Trade Representative and special envoy of the Prime Minister, H.E. Dr. Olarn Chaiprawat in 2014.
Mr. Aekkasit’s experience in civil service exposed him to the needs of the public, especially in finance and entrepreneurship. This led to his keen interest of linking passionate start-ups and businesses to appropriate financing in order to foster a culture of innovation, risk-taking, and creativity in Thailand. He believes that crowdfunding is a crucial driver of change by increasing access to capital to unprecedented levels.
Mr. Aekkasit started the Dreamaker crowdfunding platform in 2015 to facilitate entrepreneurs and startups with rewards-based crowdfunding. Dreamaker also doubled as advisor and networker when it came to public relations and marketing for some of these businesses. Dreamaker’s platform covers a wide network of businesses ranging from the arts such as fashion, photography, and design, but also publishing and technology. In 2016, Dreamaker will increase its scope to equity crowdfunding, which would allow startups to raise capital through in a small scale exchange.
Mr. Aekkasit received his M.A in Investment Management from the University of Reading in the UK. He also earned graduate degrees in Business Economics and Business Law from Chulalongkorn University. He obtained his B.A in Engineering (Hons.) from Chulalongkorn University.

Arch has been a speaker at The World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2015 in Davos, and a Speaker at the UNESCO-APEID international conference, among others. Arch has also worked as a head consultant for UN Development Programme and is also the co-founder of Dogeparty (crypto-currency platform), the social director of SAMU (Coconut Beverage sold in the USA and Australia), consultant for Education Development Center (International NGO), co-founder of Food4Good (a charity initiative for restaurants). He is recognized as a Global Shaper by the World Economic Forum, a One Young World Ambassador, a core team of Thai Young Philanthropist Network, a member of Nexus, and Volunteer Spirit Network. Klongdinsor launched the first product, Lensen Drawing Kit, a drawing kit for blind children, last year which is now being used in every schools for the blind in Thailand and also exporting aboard. Chavapas Ongmahutmongkol is the Founder and Managing Director of PrimeStreet Advisory Group, Thailand’s premier strategy and financial advisory. He has almost 20 years’ experience in the management consulting and financial advisory business. Chavapas is also the Co-founder of the Bangkok Venture Club, a collection of entrepreneurs and business executives who reside and work in Thailand seeking start-up companies to provide expertise, contacts, and investment capital to become successful long-term ventures. David possesses over 20 of entrepreneurial experience as a founding partner, financial advisor and mentor to numerous tech start-ups in both America and Asia. Since his arrival in Bangkok in 2008 David has been an active participant and advocate of the local tech start-up community serving as mentor to numerous Thai entrepreneurs and serving as a pitch judge, panelist and key note speaker at several start-up events. David has lectured and advised entrepreneurial students at several of the leading universities in Bangkok including Thammasat, Sasin, Bangkok University, Webster University and Stamford International University.

As a Managing Director of C asean, Karndee Leopairote aims to build a networking platform for collaboration among startups and future generation across the region to support the development of ASEAN community through various connectivity initiatives. Prior to C asean, Karndee was an assistant professor at the Department of Operations Management, Thammasat Business School and an executive director of the Future Innovative Thailand Institute. President, The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET)
Kesara has profound knowledge and strong expertise in the financial industry and capital market. During her extensive 30-year career, her work has covered practically all sectors of financial industry. During her 11 years at SET, she has been in charge of several departments, including marketing, derivatives and market development. Prior to being SET president, she was executive vice president and head of Market Division, as well as managing director of Thailand Futures Exchange PCL (TFEX).
Her significant performances involved several initiatives such as setting up TFEX, Thailand’s only financial derivatives exchange, covering both futures and options of equities, fixed income instruments, foreign exchange rates and non-agricultural commodities. TFEX has shown continuous growth in volume and rank number 2 in ASEAN. She was also instrumental in setting up the bond electronic trading platform which has continuously been equipped with advanced technology. In addition, she has also been a force behind the setting up of the Agricultural Futures Exchange of Thailand. Her visionary and analytical assets have enabled her to create many financial products and instruments for SET and the Thai Bond Market Association. She has actively been involved in SET’s various activities to promote financial literacy and nationwide savings campaign, as such enhancing the financial profession and the Thai economy. Her leadership, unique qualities and enthusiasm have made progress in driving the Thai capital market to be well-accepted as one of the regional and world leaders. Kittisuk started Afterword with his co-founder in early 2014. It began as an experimental project to see if a crowdfunding platform could serve unmet needs in publishing industry in Thailand. Up until now, Afterword is the most successful platform in Thailand measured by success rate, able to attract 1.3 million baht in less than 10 months. The platform focuses on good, quality book content and special topics that are struggle getting published by big publishing houses. This provides choices to both authors and readers in Thailand. In 2015, Afterword plans to reach out to more writers, create community for book lovers, and expand book distribution to readers in more regions throughout the country. Not only his work at Afterword, he contributes back to society by teaching Design Thinking at Chulalongkorn University, a renowned college in Thailand.
Kittisuk earned a Master’s degree from the School of Engineering at Stanford University in 2010. He is really passionate about solving real-world problems by joining socially-minded startups spun out from the Stanford Design School. KORN CHATIKAVANIJ is currently chairman of Thailand Democrat Party Policy Unit. Korn served as Finance Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand from 2008 to 2011. Previously, he was president and chairman of JP Morgan Securities (Thailand) from 2000 to 2004.
Much of Korn Chatikavanij’s career was spent in the finance sector since his early age at SG Warburg, London. He then co-founded JF Thanakom Securities with Jardine Fleming and was its president for 11 years. After the merger of Jardine Fleming and JP Morgan, he became president and subsequently chairman of JP Morgan Securities (Thailand). He left to run for Bangkok Member of Parliament in October 2004.
In December 2009, Korn Chatikavanij received “Global Finance Minister of the Year 2010” and “Asia-Pacific Finance Minister of the Year 2010” awards from the Banker (an affiliated publication of the Financial Times).

Minister of Science and Technology of Thailand
Dr. Pichet Durongkaveroj is Thailand Minister of Science and Technology. Before his appointment as the Minister, Dr. Durongkaveroj has long history of work in the field of public policy. He played a crucial role in the design of many national and international policies including ICT, e-commerce, higher education, science and technology, and most recently innovation. His recent work in the area of science, technology and innovation (STI) includes the drafting of Thailand’s national STI policy, research and development investment policy, climate change mitigation and adaptation, inclusive innovation and the internalization of STI.
Alumni of the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in Public Policy and Management, Dr. Durongkaveroj was the first directors of the National Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Office, Knowledge Network Institute of Thailand, Information Technology Committee Secretariat, and e-Commerce Resource Center. He chaired the e-ASEAN Working Group for two years.
Director of Mahidol University Business Incubator, Assistant Dean for Corporate Communication Collage of Management, Mahidol University, Thailand
Dr. Poomporn is a Director of Mahidol University Business Incubator and Associate Dean for Corporate Communication at College of Management, Mahidol University. He started his career as a Public Development Officer with the Office of Public Development Commission (OPDC). He was also a secretary member to the Minister of the Prime Minister Office. In 2009, Dr. Poomporn began lecturing at College of Innovation, Thammasat University. He also held management positions including Associate Dean, Director of Innovative Consulting Center and Director of Technology Management Program. He was actively involved in various organizing committees for leading international academic conferences including IEEE ICMIT, IEEE ICQR, DSI and PICMET.
Dr. Poomporn has also worked with Ministry of Science on Strategic Technology Performance Management and Technology Foresight. He made significant contributions to several national and international projects, such as a Development of National Creative Business Plan for Ministry of Commerce, Creative Business Matching between Japanese and Thai Investors for JETRO, and Triple Helix Study in Asia Context for British Council. He also continues to provide consultation service in the areas of technology and innovation management.

After graduating from the London School of Economics and Political Science with a BSc in Economics and International Relations in 1999, Prinn began his career as an analyst in the corporate finance department of ABN Amro in London. He was appointed Vice Chairman of the Asean-UK Business Forum (AUBF) during 2001-2005 and was active in promoting UK investments into Asean. He also set up an event management company, EARS Ltd, which organised the Thai Film Festival and Asian Food Festival as well as managed Asian musical talents in London. Upon returning to his native Thailand in 2005, he joined Deutsche Bank Tisco Securities as Vice president in foreign institutional sales department. CLSA Securities Thailand then appointed him as their head of sales in 2007 and he was ranked number one in institutional sales by the AsiaMoney Poll. In 2008 he moved to cover equities in the Asian region for CLSA, based out of their headquarters in Hong Kong; and in March 2012 has been appointed as their Thailand country head, based in Bangkok. He is on the Board of Directors of the Association of Thai Securities Companies and is also a managing director of the Four Seasons Restaurant Group, one of the largest Chinese restaurant chains in the world with franchises in the UK, China, Taiwan, the UAE, Singapore, HK, and Thailand.”
Vice Minister of Information and Communication Technology
Having a bachelor degree from Kasetsart University, Mr.Somboon took on various roles in the Ministy of Informatiom and Communication Technology. He was the Executive Director for e-Government Burean for almost 4 years before movinf on to assume the role of Executive Director for ICT Usage Promotion and Development Bureau. Having the relevant experiences in the industry, it was no soubt he was made the Principal Advisor for Communication for a short stint before assuming his current role as the Deputy Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Information and Communication Technology.
Mr. Somboon has a broad scope of training in the ICT field. He attended courses such as Information on the ICT Expert conducted by Korea Communication Commission, South Korea. Apart from that, he also attended courses on e-Government ICT and Policy in Japan.
In addition, he also was involved with the Geographic Information System For Land Use Planning International Institute for Aerospace and Earyh Sciences ITC in The Netherlands.
Sunit Shrestha is founder & Managing Director of ChangeFusion, a non-profit institute under Thai Rural Reconstruction Movement Foundation under the Royal Patronage.
ChangeFusion supports social enterprises in various areas including appropriate technology for sustainable agriculture for lower income rural farmers, sustainable tourism and more.
He also collaborate to design the setup of social investment funds for emerging social entrepreneurs in Thailand & Asia through UnLtd Programs in Southeast Asia, Change Ventures (a social investment holding company) and B-KIND Fund (Thailand's first Socially Responsible Investment Fund with the fund size of 66M USD).
He also engaged in different areas of social innovation researches such the development of ecosystems for sustainable agriculture in Asia with Oxfam as well as the feasibility study of Asian Social Stock Exchange with the ADB.
He also involved in innovative public policy fostering through different posts; second secretary (2010 - 2011) to the National Social Enterprise Committee chaired by the Prime Minister, a former member of competitive regulation subcommittee (2012) under the National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission .
He became an Ashoka Fellow in 2009.
Securities and Exchange Commission, Thailand (SEC)
Ms. Tipsuda Thavaramara is the SEC Deputy Secretary-General in charge of Policy and Corporate Finance Groups. She joined the SEC in 1993 and has extensive experience in capital market development. She played an active role in creating the Thai Bond Market Association, drafting the Derivatives Law and launching Thailand Futures Exchange, and formulating the implementation plan for ASEAN capital market integration. She also served on the Board of the Government Pension Fund from 2007-2011.
Ms. Thavaramara received her MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania and her BA in Mathematics from Harvard University.
